Happy happy 6 months Elder G!!! That is so exciting! Are you going to burn a tie today? Isn't that the tradition?? That feels pretty amazing to have 25% done.
How are you doing my love? Are you feeling strength and comfort? I pray for it everyday for you. You are constantly on our minds and hearts and in our prayers. We talk about you many times every day. You are such an important part of our family and I miss you soooo very much.
I know you've had some very rough weeks but I pray that you are feeling stronger. I read something this week that made me think of you. D&C 101:36 says that "in this life your joy is not full, but in me your joy is full." Sometimes in life we just won't feel happy. If we are expecting to be happy 100% all of the time, we will be 100% disappointed. Because this life is a probationary state, we will have struggles, trials and hardships. But I love that our joy can be full in Christ. I know he has blessed you with comfort and strength. I know He loves you so much and when you turn to Him, that is the only place where the possibility of fullness of joy lies. Keep your eyes on Him. Each time you make a decision, ask yourself, does this bring me closer to the Savior or distance me from Him? It is a good measure to know if you're making the right choices.
I can't wait to hear how things are going in your new area. Please send pics! I want to see the area, your comp and your apartment. All with you in them too! How about investigators? Is that going a little slower there? How about being the senior companion? How is that all going? Also you haven't mentioned the language much lately. I assume because it is going really well. Are you thinking in portuguese yet?
Well, Misti is in the hospital and will have the baby today! She went in this weekend because her blood pressure was up and they couldn't get it back down. So now we are anxiously waiting. We all have bets in on what time she will deliver. I think it will be late afternoon. I was hoping I'd have pictures of your new cousin but you'll have to wait until next Monday:) I bet she'll be a cutie. The fun thing is that it's Henry's birthday today so they will share the same birthday just a year apart. Actually this weekend we celebrated Henry's birthday along with a bridal shower for Sydney. It was really fun and Syd is getting so excited. They asked Sam to sing at the wedding so that will be great. I think its a country song but I can't remember which one.
We're getting warmer around here finally. It's been a really cold winter and February had the most rain of any other February on record. So it is nice that its warming up and drying out. Plus when it rains a lot the dogs just dig in the mud constantly. I think in the course of 3 days, they had 5 baths. You can imagine how much I loved the dogs that week. UGH!
I love you my wonderful son! I can't wait to hear about your week! It shows that your package has been delivered so you should have it next time you go to the mission office!!!
I love you more than the sun and the moon and the stars... infinity plus infinity and even more than that!
