Grayson and Mom on a Mission

It was a fast week in Brazil! honestly my first week here that felt like it flew by. but i know pretty soon most weeks will feel like that. i felt like my speaking improved a lot this week. me and my companion contacted a lot on the streets. we recieved cards this week to give to people about seja a luz do mundo (light the world). the church always has a message for christmas and this year its pretty much how we can bring the light of christ into the lives of other people this Christmas season! i would invite you guys to check it out on  mormon.org ! through this we were able to talk with lotssss of people and teach lots of lessons. We also had a reference this week that we went to teach. His name is daniel. We had one of those AWESOME lessons with him  on saturday  and he came to church  on sunday ! carlos is doing good! everyone here works a lot and a lot have to work on sunday so we actually finally got to confirm him this week. but he seems interested in gospel doctrines and asks questions and the ward is taking him in pretty well.  rafaela said she wanted to learn more cause she was supposed to be baptized this week. i thought that was just an excuse but she still was at church this week so that was good! we are teaching quite a few people right now. this week im sure i will have a better idea of who is firm.  i shop at this market called dia on pdays. its pretty big, nice, and cheap. my food lasted the whole week this week so that was a lot better. every day for lunch is rice, beans, and some type of meat. also usually a little salad or something and then dessert. i havent gotten tired of it and im actually liking beans now. havent had any really bad food yet so thats a good sign.  i think its summer haha. its pretty hot. like it was 96 i think this ...

hi mom! how are you? if im being honest with you my birthday was kinda rough. i mean for a normal day it was ehh, but just being my birthday you want something at least a little special and it just wasnt that haha. we walked a lottttt. we went to gabriels house in brasilandia (the 12 year old boy whos been coming to church every week). turns out we get like 3 minutes of his moms time before work and she shut down the idea of him being baptized real quick. he was still at church this week, but i dont think there is anything we can do at this point. other than that it was just pretty normal. its just hard when you just talk to your companion and thats it and no one else really knows. but honestly ive had a muchhhh better week since then. saturday was an awesome day and we had an awesome lesson with this guy named alexandre and 2 of his kids. he knows the bible super well and the gospel just seems to make sense to him. he already sounds like a member honestly. we are going back to teach h...

Hello my gorgeous boy!!! How is my 20 year old?!  Did you get to celebrate a little bit?  I wish I could have delivered donuts and bacon to you!  Any news on your birthday package?  Were you able to get to the mission office to see if it's there?  Tell me all about your week! We had a good week but nothing too eventful.  The house we had placed an offer on fell through.  So I'm on the search for another house or two to flip. I don't know if you remember meeting Melanie Orme???  She was Laurette's neighbor and really good friend. She was in their ward.  She died on Monday last week.  She had been battling breast cancer for 22 years and died at just 53 years old. Just so sad. I went to her funeral on Saturday in our old Flower Mound Building.  Driving past Wellington was so nostalgic for me.  I have the greatest memories of you guys growing up there and how wonderful and happy those years were.  We are a very blessed...

haha i hoped you liked the video. did you send it to sam and abby and dad? i need to send it to sally cause i know shell like it haha. yeah that was on saturday and that was a good day cause i baptized carlos too!!! the music was coming from a car behind one of the fences he was bumping a ton of american music i loved it. do you think i should put that in my email to everyone? lol. its not a big deal to me haha but i know it says i wanna make love right now so idk if i should still no mission debit card. it sucks, but ive had enough cash. i need to get reimbursements for a few things but i will when i get my card. hopefully this week or next.  yeah most of the food here is pretty cheap. yeah taking my vitamins most days.  we baptized carlos and we have a baptism set for rafaela next week! she is pregnant and her bf is a member lol. but i think she has a good desire. mostly its been referalls lately which has been nice but i know i have lots of tracting in my future...

Hello LOVE!!!  You are turning the big 2-0 this week!!! No longer a teenager! I hope you get to celebrate a little bit!
