Oi Oi momma! How are you? Im doing pretty great! It was a good, normal week. We didnt have any one in mind to baptize this week so we have been working with lots of different people. We have lots of options, we will just have to see who will progress and really grab hold of this message. We reactivate a little bit, but its super tough to do in this ward. I dont even think you wanna know this statistic, but our ward has 700 members on the ward list and every sunday there are about 85 people at church. Its pretty sad. This area has just been destroyed by missionaries who just threw people in the water. So reactivating is super tough. If we find someone whos a member who isnt active, certainly we will work with them if they are willing. We had a guy who was returning to the church after 20 years and we were teaching him to get the melchezidek priesthood and enter through the temple, but he is still kinda hit and miss at church on sunday. and he said the family situation at home is rough s...

Hi MY LOVE!!! I hope you had a great week:)  I know you have so much work going on in this area and I've been praying for your continued safety and ability to find valiant people to teach.  Are you working much on reactivating members?  How is that going? I've had a great weekend! As you can see from the pictures I'm in Utah... well actually I'm in Idaho right now.  I drove Abby back to Rexburg yesterday and stayed here.  I'm driving back to Utah in about 1 hour so I'll be driving when you get online.  That means that I'll be talk texting my response to you so I'm giving you a heads up that it might not make complete sense! LOL.  We had a really fun weekend together.  I spent lots of time with Sam and Ab and also Kellie, Taylor (her daughter), Monica and her daughter Courtney (and her new husband Garrett).  We had a lot of fun although the football game was a beating!  BYU is pretty bad right now.  They lost 7-6 to the "powe...

I emailed her. I let her know that it would all work out according to the Lords plan and that in this moment she should really turn to the Lord cause more than anyone here on earth, He knows how she feels right now. I said a bunch of things. I think that was a big douchebag move by his dad but whatever. But the result is the same. They were never gonna date on his mission, just be friends. But even if they were jsut "friends" i think it would have still been hard in the same way it was hard for me and sally. We had technically ended everything, but i was still thinking about her a ton so it was hard. But they can still talk every once in a while on the mish and i think it could still work out after. It will give her the chance to focus on other things like studies, friends, or maybe a mission, or summer school in europe or somethig (forgot the english word lol).  LOL NIGGA WAS Called to SLC West baby. Thats a bummer lowkey. Its a super weird mission, but i heard they bapt...

Hello my love!!!  I have a brief letter for you today because I am asking that you spend some extra time writing Abby today.  So she and Jackson broke up this week.  After she left CA last sunday, it was really sad and she had a feeling he was pulling away from her a little.  In addition, his dad had made a comment when she was out there that upset her.  I guess the first night, they had the missionaries over for dinner and Jackson's dad asked them "do you have any advice for Jackson, other than he should break off all ties with everyone here?"  So she new he was putting pressure on Jackson to break up with Abby so he could focus on his mission.  Anyway, after she left things totally changed and he said they shouldn't talk for a week.  Then this weekend they talked and Abby had a chance to put her thoughts together and say everything she wanted to say to him.  But he was pretty set that he needs to focus on his mission and they need to break ...

Yo yo momma, so transfers will be next week. SO in my email next week i will let you guys know. I really think that ill stay here. This area definitely has its problems but i also love it here and i really wanna stay here one more transfer. Plus it will be great to settle in with Alessandra and Lucianno after their baptism as members of the church. So btw...our prayers were answered!!! We went there on Monday night and I was sweating the whole time thinking about what i would say to firm them up for baptism. I started to talk a little bit about marriage and how it was preparing them for baptism and she literally cuts me off out of nowhere and asks "So what time will the baptism be on Saturday?" I felt the spirit soooo strongly and felt like it was an answer to my prayers and it was the Lord saying "dont worry i got this one". since then they are gotten super firm. They talk about raising a family in this church, temple marriage, and even serving a couples mission!!!...

Hi my sweet boy! How was your week?? I've kinda lost track of your transfer date.  Is it this week or next? What is the follow up to your baptisms last week?  Were you able to clear up things with those kids?? I can't believe what the bishop said!  I've shared that story a few times this week.  Its funny/not funny.  LOL  You stories have actually helped me as I have been studying the D&C this year.  The church has been in Brazil for 50 years or more and yet people still get things wrong, even leadership.  When I think about the early church, it is easier for me now to understand how long it takes to establish a church.  When Joseph Smith walked out of the sacred grove he didn't have a church handbook.  But on top of that, he didn't even know about the Book of Mormon or that he would be organizing the Lord's church on the earth.  And then many of the blessings of revelation we have received about the establishing of the L...

yo yo momma! I liked conference a lot too! I will admit i think the other two on my mission were better, but i liked a lot of the talks. I really like the home focused gospel plan. I think its important for us to have a larger base of the gospel in our homes. Also it will give more time for ministering which i like. I already feel a little pressure that im gonna have to do everything i can when i have a family cause i know satan will come at the family with lots of strength. But at the same time im excited to do all that with my fam. There were a tonnn of talks about receiving comfort in trials which i feel like is something that has turned a strength of mine on the mission. I dont have my notes with me right now but there were two talks that i really liked a ton. i think it was bednar maybe. I also liked the talks that talked about recent converts and how we need to take care of them. Ulisses Soares talk was really good about that. Also it was so cute the certainty that Elder Ballard ...

Good morning my sweet boy! How was your week? I’m hoping there were some baptisms and the people followed through on their commitments:) Did you love conference? One of my favorite things about it was how I knew we were sitting there doing the exact same thing at the same time! That was comforting to me. I absolutely loved it! If you didn’t get a chance to watch the women’s broadcast you should try. I will send you an Ensign conference edition when it gets here so you can read all the talks again and study them. I feel like I received many personal messages from the talks. So many of them focused on our ability to stay faithful and receive comfort during trials... not one minute of our suffering is wasted. It is all for our good and our growth. That was one of the messages that I took away and feel strengthened by.  I also felt a recommitment to strengthening my conversion. That also seemed to be a theme of conference. Are we living the gospel by going through the motions and check...

So yes!! We baptized Lucia! hahah she is so sweet and so old so its funny. I think shes a good 20 years older than you. Its awesome to know you made a change in the life of someone who already has been through it all. Oh my goodness it was a little nerveracking at the baptism because Rodrigues baptized her and hes kinda a little guy. And its  always super hard to baptize old people anyway. And she is overweight and the first time, her whole body didnt go under the water and she like took in some water. So they left, took like a 3 minute break and had to do it again hahah. But it worked out in the end. Welll....Lucianno and Alessandra are progressing but im not sure if they are as firm as we thought. Its super weird cause we have talked about baptism a lot with them but Alessandra said something a little weird this week. It was kinda annoying its just a long story. But we will calm her down and help them prepare more this week. Last week we even did FHE with them and Bishop and his ...
