yo yo momma! the week was great! First of all, Tiago and Fabiola (from that other area) were baptized in the river!!! THe sad news is I wasnt even there. I went there to do their baptismal interviews on friday and after was gonna be the baptism. But it was pouring rain and had lightning so we couldnt do it on that day. So they ended up doing it on saturday. But they are sooo great. I did their interviews and they are just such great people. They were truly prepared by the Lord to recieve this gospel. Ill talk a little more about them in my big email, but the story is literally amazing. We also had another baptismal this week in our area of a girl named Lilian. She was a little tougher, but it ended up working out. SHe kinda told us she wasnt ready, but we were able to just really use the scriptures to show her how important baptism is and how important it is that she recieves the holy ghost as soon as possible. I guess it was a little weird of an experience for me. Just cause like sh...

Hello my fave elder!!!! How is my boy?  I hope this week was a great one.  I can't wait to hear all about it! Our week was uneventful.  I did some canning with Betsy Winters. We made about 30 cans of spaghetti sauce that will last us a while:)  Karlee and her husband have moved in with the Winters while he works and saves up for a year.  He wants to put down about 25% on their first house so they are saving, saving right now.  She is about to deliver her baby on the 6th!  They are having a boy.  We also had dinner with the Hines Saturday night. They are so fun.  Did I ever tell you that their son is serving in NYC?  He's been out a few months now. We're getting ready to put the flip house back on the market.  So I'm getting the house ready for that.  I'm hoping the timing will be better this year and it will sell quickly!!!  Say a little prayer:)  We are doing a few things to spruce it up a little more....

yo yo momma! I love the gym pics. Its good to know you guys are getting at it. Just wait for me to come home. I wanna come home looking much bigger!! Yes so that area is way cool. Its called Mairiporã. Its about 45 minutes from my area. Its pretty rare here near the city, but there are a lot of beautful places like that in the interior. But in my mission, there are only a few areas like that. But...THe couple went to church again this week!!! The elder said they seem firm for this saturday for the baptism. The dad seems to have the normal "kick back and drink a beer" problem, but they said it shouldnt be a big problem. THey are gonna talk with the member who has like a ranch next to the reservoir. But i feel like it will work out. What I wanna do is go back to do their baptismal interview and then at least watch the baptism. I feel bad cause i dont wanna baptize one of their investigators, but i think one of them might choose me actually.  Gilmara and Aliny are great!...

Hello beautiful boy! How was your week?  Are you getting any closer to your baptism in the reservoir thing?  The pictures of that area really do look like our trip to Colorado.  I never thought I'd see something like that in Brazil.  How far is that from your area and where you live?  How are Gilmara and Aline doing?  Are you doing new member lessons with them?  How do they feel since their baptisms? I'm so glad I get to talk to you today.  I have felt off all week because I didn't really get to say good bye to you last week.  My friend Jaclyn Wilson woke up last week with no hearing in her right ear.  I took her to a doctors appointment last monday and that is when I was chatting with you.  After she came out of the doctors visit, she was super frustrated and sad.  I spent a lot of time talking to her.  She really can't do much right now.  Losing hearing in one ear throws all of your balance off so she can h...

yo momma! i think im gonna warn everyone when im on every week just so you can respond asap and i can try to be on for less time in the lan house. so the week was super busy but great! We baptized Gilmara and Aline who are a mom and daughter we met last week. It was really cool! I cant describe the feeling when you see someone coming closer to God through baptism. Just to see their happiness on their faces was priceless. We were hardly in our area this week which makes it way harder. But thats just gonna be how it is. We have just got to do lots more with much less time. My companion literally goes to a psycologist so yeah....hes got some problems with stress and anxiety. its been hard, but i understand the Lord inspired president for him to be with me. President literally told me in our interview this week that his calling as a zone leader isnt for other people, but its for him to be happy. lol. ughh its whatever. he likes to work like a said, but he doesnt know how to work at a L...

Hi my love!  How are things going in your new area?  I'm wondering if you know about transfers at this point?  How are things with your new comp?  Is your english improving??  lol  Is his Portuguese improving???!!! We had a good week.  Just getting back into the routine after Christmas.  Almost all the decorations are put away.  Seminary started again this week.  I have a new team teacher... lol!  This is my fourth this year!  My last one is opening a greek restaurant and so she has to go to training for two months.  So they called a new teacher.  I think I finally have a teacher that feels engaged in my class like I am.  She is a retired dentist, about my age, and just moved here with her husband from Austin.  She will teach for the first time next week... so we'll see how it goes.   I'm working on my new year resolutions.  Got to the gym this weekend:) Dad and I are on the workout ...

hello momma!! well....hahah a lot has happened since the last time i talked to you.  This tuesday I was transferred on emergency to an area called Perus. It was literally out of nowhere cause the transfer date is on the 15th so that was kinda hard. I was definitely ready to leave Parada Pinto, I just didnt want to leave with half a day to say goodbye to everyone. It was kinda sad at first, but now Im all good. I got to say goodbye to a good amount of people and my Recent converts are so great there. I cried saying goodbye to the couple ALessandra and Lucianno. That one was hard. They are pretty great, and I wanna see them sealed here in about 10 months. That would make me the happiest man. So Im still a zone leader here in a zone called Jaragua/Cajamar. Im with Elder Packer, my first american companion! The dude is definitely difficult in many ways, but hes a hard worker so thats really all i can ask for. HEs got super bad anxiety, literally visits a psychiatrist or however you s...

Hello sweet boy! We started our week with new years eve and our now traditional Fondue dinner. It was of course delish and fun!  We had Erik and Chels, Ama and Pop Pop, Megan and Jenny and our fam all together.  Harper got sick so they had to stay home.  We had a good week but both Abby and Sam left today so I'm feeling pretty sad.  I miss when you guys aren't home!   How was your week??  How are things with Alfredo?  How did your lessons go this week? Did you get my earlier email? That whole section talks about the need for baptism by immersion.  Not sure if that might be helpful.  Tell me all about your week.   So did you hear about the announcement that there are changes in the temple?  I don't know all about them yet but I'm planning on going this week so I can find out.  When will you get to go again? I know for sure that the movie is changed and shorter:)  I think the endowment session is 20 mi...
