Hi baby! So here it is. It was actually available for download on 10/2... In the past they always mailed them so I didn't think to look for a download until it occurred to me this week. I had to login to
lds.org as you and it was available. Anyway!!! Sorry for the delay. I sent you printed copies in your package that I mailed off this week. I hope you get it in a few weeks! I fear it will be late for your birthday, but I hope it won't be too late. Speaking of packages, I'm already concerned about getting your christmas package off to you in a week. Is there anything you need and would like to get in your package???
I can't wait to hear about this week! I LOVED the pictures you sent! It absolutely makes my week when you send them. As long as it's not against your mission rules, keep sending them. At one point Sam had to stop sending them in the middle of the week because the Miss. Pres said they couldn't anymore. But as long as you can, keep sending them. So who were the other missionaries in the picture? It looks like you were with an American in the pic. How was that? How is the language? Do you feel any improvement since you've been there? How is your comp? Where is he from? Does he get support from his family? I usually sent a few things for Christmas to Sam's companions since they usually had so little. I'll probably do the same for whoever your comp is at Christmas.
I have been praying so much for you this week. President Packer said "Few things are more powerful than the prayer of a righteous mother." So always know that you have a mother, striving to be righteous, sending prayers to heavenly father for you many times through every day. I know Heavenly Father hears me and has blessed me by keeping you safe and blessing you with the spirit in your teaching. Another scripture that has given me comfort this week is D&C 84:88 It is a promise to missionaries and anyone willing to share the gospel. "And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up." What a promise, Gray! That is for you!
Speaking of that, how did your appointments go this week? Did you have lots of investigators at church again? Have you been able to contribute to any conversations yet? I would imagine you are getting better at bearing your testimony and praying in portuguese. Have you been able to sneak in some language study time on your own? I heard something this week that made me think of your language and missionary skills. It goes, "Don't focus on what you can't do. Focus on what you CAN ... and then try to improve." Its a great approach and attitude for you to take.
Abby has been working on her BYU I application this week. Hard to believe she is graduating this year! I don't know what I'm going to do without any of you here. I really miss us all being together.
How are things with Sally? Are you feeling good? Is she starting to handle things better? I texted your mailing address to her this weekend.
So many people at church asked me about you today. You have a huge cheering section here at home. I love you so very much! Infinity + Infinity in fact... and even more than that! Have a wonderful week my sweet son. I'm with you in your pocket wherever you go.
I love you!!!!
