hi mom! how are you? if im being honest with you my birthday was kinda rough. i mean for a normal day it was ehh, but just being my birthday you want something at least a little special and it just wasnt that haha. we walked a lottttt. we went to gabriels house in brasilandia (the 12 year old boy whos been coming to church every week). turns out we get like 3 minutes of his moms time before work and she shut down the idea of him being baptized real quick. he was still at church this week, but i dont think there is anything we can do at this point. other than that it was just pretty normal. its just hard when you just talk to your companion and thats it and no one else really knows. but honestly ive had a muchhhh better week since then. saturday was an awesome day and we had an awesome lesson with this guy named alexandre and 2 of his kids. he knows the bible super well and the gospel just seems to make sense to him. he already sounds like a member honestly. we are going back to teach him wednesday i think but im just praying super hard for him and his family. its honestly all good about my bday tho. ive moved on from it and every missionary that ive talked to has said that birthdays just arent that good on the mission haha so its normal. we went to the mission home where the people who work in the office live on saturday and that was fun and they were all super nice. i love the guys that live there. elder marinho (brasileiro) elder mafi (australian) and elder downs (american) are my favs. they are all super cool and nice. i dont think my package got in. we were in the office on wednesday to go to policia federal and it wasnt there yet. we could go next pday but we are already going for a multi zone conference next wednesday so ill probably just get it then. i know that will bring me a lot of happiness for sure.

thats sad about laurettes neighbor i dont really remember her. im hoping yall find a new house that you would like to flip!

studies are going good. i started d and c in portuguese with english next to it. but i talked to some american elders and i realized i should just read preach my gospel in port. its more of the language that ill actually use. the scriputres are important, but they all just said to worry about that a little bit later. ill get to the books a little later too when i have more of a grasp on the language.

thank you so much for the jacob 5 explanation. i can never understand it very well so that helped a lot. thank you mom for everything honestly. im so lucky to have you as a mom. you are such a good example to me and i love you so much!

i feel safe mostly. p days are honestly the most sketchy cause i literally have nothing but nike haha. i think it just draws attention to me. but its bright daylight the whole time and i just make sure to keep an eye out. but i seem to be fine. we were out a tad late on saturday cause a member had to drive us to get our stove!!!! and microwave!!!! his car was having troubles so we left a little late. but on our way back we saw a lady laying down like twitching and super messed up. the member went to talk to her to make sure she was ok and she was just on all kinds of drugs im sure she was a little scary haha. but thats why we have rules to be back by 930 at the latest. and we are fine with that rule haha cause we always exhausted by the end of the day anyway. but overall yes i am safe! thank you for your prayers!

i love you mom!

I will go to Jardim Simos and be with an elder I dont know. I will be the senior companion which is really cool. Hes a brazilian, just finished his traning, and has about only 3 months on the mission. Im so glad and relieved. i was just ready to leave aguiar. he is just a difficult person sometimes.  love you mom.  yeah that sounds really difficult and probably something that would be really hard to do at the mission office haha. ok thank you for looking it up.  I love you so freaking much mom! You are my hero! Sorry that it has to be all annoying like this. I will defini...

Good morning my sweet boy! How was your week? I’m hoping there were some baptisms and the people followed through on their commitments:) Did you love conference? One of my favorite things about it was how I knew we were sitting there doing the exact same thing at the same time! That was comforting to me. I absolutely loved it! If you didn’t get a chance to watch the women’s broadcast you should try. I will send you an Ensign conference edition when it gets here so you can read all the talks again and study them. I feel like I received many personal messages from the talks. So many of them focused on our ability to stay faithful and receive comfort during trials... not one minute of our suffering is wasted. It is all for our good and our growth. That was one of the messages that I took away and feel strengthened by.  I also felt a recommitment to strengthening my conversion. That also seemed to be a theme of conference. Are we living the gospel by going through the motions and check...

Hey buddy!    I’m glad I finally get a chance to sit down and write. Baby stuff has taken over my life but we are very excited to have Harper with us in the next few weeks. Excited for you to meet your new little cousin when you return. Sounds like you are doing really well! I know you’ve had minor struggles and home sickness along the way, but it’s good to see you pumped and positive. Sounds like you’re doing a great job!     Hey listen, I know everyone has chimed in on the girl situation and you’re probably tired of talking about it at this point, but I wanted to try to talk to you about it as well because I’ve had the unwelcome pleasure of going through 3 life changing heart breaks that I never thought I’d recover from so I can speak to you from experience and hopefully put some perspective on things.     I had been with Alicia for 5 years, we were in love but it was more than that. It was how the family loved her, how much I loved her family and ...
