Good morning baby!!!!  How is my favorite missionary in the world?

So first off... who is your new companion?? Do you know much about him? How was it saying goodbye to elder LdS?

Tell me about your week!  How is Rafaela doing? Is she progressing toward baptism? Is it still really rainy there? We've been having really cold weather... and another funny weather thing... there was this huge storm that went through the southeast actually bringing snow to florida.  The name of the storm is Grayson.  So cute:)

We had a good week at home.  It was nice to have a full week off of school/seminary even after new years.  Sam left yesterday and starts school today. Abby too.  We were back at seminary today.  Dad is now coming with me because he has been called to help with Seminary Security. LOL!  You can imagine how much Dad loves getting up at 5am! He will hopefully only have to be there about every 3rd week because they are calling others too.  But it just cracks me up.  He is responsible for unlocking all the doors, patrolling the halls and bathrooms and then locking up at the end of the hour. I think they have been worried about women showing up to seminary in the morning without any protection.  So actually, I'm happy about it because it is creepy if I'm the first one there.

Saturday night we went to Nick Lewis's wedding which was really beautiful! It was at a huge lodge in Aubrey and reminded me a lot of Kevin and Misti's wedding.  Dad had fun reuniting with Paco.  One of the pictures I sent you was of Dad and I going to the wedding.  The same night, Sam was in Jace's wedding and he said it was a great night.  Tons of PHS friends reunited.  I'm sure he'll tell you more about that. Then last night we went to Calvin's open house. He reports to the mtc on Wednesday.  He doesn't have his visa yet so he is having to change to the Provo MTC.  We talked a lot about your great experiences there and he even remembered reading some from your letters.  He's going to be a great missionary.  I added your email to his list so you could get his letters.  He wanted you to change his email on your list to calvin.schofield@myldsmail.net so he can keep getting your letters.  Also, did you ever add Betsy Winters?  Her email is betsy@txwinters.com.

AND were back to 8:30 am church.  I'm actually happy about it.  We are home before noon and can chill the rest of the day. So much better than 2:30!!

I'm sure you heard about President Monson.  His funeral is set for Friday at noon. It feels bittersweet to me.  I know he was ready to move on... his body was not holding up.  But I will miss his sweet example and his amazing leadership of the church.  I love how he focused us on service and loving each other better.  Here are a few of my favorite quotes of his...

"Of this be sure: you do not find the happy life... you make it."

"At times.. we feel surrounded by the pain of broken hearts, the disappointment of shattered dreams, and the despair of vanished hopes... We feel abandoned, heartbroken and alone. If you find yourself in such a situation, I plead with you to turn to our Heavenly Father in faith. He will lift you and guide you. He will not always take your afflictions from you, but He will comfort and lead you with love through whatever storm you face."

"Be the same person you are in the dark as your are in the light."

"May we ever choose the harder right, instead of the easier wrong."

"When we treat people merely as the are, they will remain as they are. When we treat them as if they were what they should be, they will become what they should be."

"Good timber does not grow with ease. The stronger the wind, the stronger the trees."

"Choose your friends with caution, plan your future with purpose, and frame you life with faith."

I love you G!  I miss your gorgeous face!  I hope you feel the love and prayers of your family.  We pray for you multiple times every day.  I can't wait to hear about your week!

I love you infinity + infinity and even more than that

Good morning my sweet boy! How was your week? I’m hoping there were some baptisms and the people followed through on their commitments:) Did you love conference? One of my favorite things about it was how I knew we were sitting there doing the exact same thing at the same time! That was comforting to me. I absolutely loved it! If you didn’t get a chance to watch the women’s broadcast you should try. I will send you an Ensign conference edition when it gets here so you can read all the talks again and study them. I feel like I received many personal messages from the talks. So many of them focused on our ability to stay faithful and receive comfort during trials... not one minute of our suffering is wasted. It is all for our good and our growth. That was one of the messages that I took away and feel strengthened by.  I also felt a recommitment to strengthening my conversion. That also seemed to be a theme of conference. Are we living the gospel by going through the motions and check...

Hey buddy!    I’m glad I finally get a chance to sit down and write. Baby stuff has taken over my life but we are very excited to have Harper with us in the next few weeks. Excited for you to meet your new little cousin when you return. Sounds like you are doing really well! I know you’ve had minor struggles and home sickness along the way, but it’s good to see you pumped and positive. Sounds like you’re doing a great job!     Hey listen, I know everyone has chimed in on the girl situation and you’re probably tired of talking about it at this point, but I wanted to try to talk to you about it as well because I’ve had the unwelcome pleasure of going through 3 life changing heart breaks that I never thought I’d recover from so I can speak to you from experience and hopefully put some perspective on things.     I had been with Alicia for 5 years, we were in love but it was more than that. It was how the family loved her, how much I loved her family and ...
