Hello Elder G! My sweet boy! How was your week? I have been thinking about you so much. How did the visit to get the marriage license go? I'm praying for a quick schedule to get them married so you can baptize them. We have also been praying for you to find elites. Have you met any people this week? I can't wait to hear all about it!
So this is a big week at home. Abby will be graduating on saturday. Its starting to hit me so hard. I can't believe you will all be gone and spreading your wings. It is a wonderful thing but still tough for a mom. Today is the senior pep rally. Yes dad and I will be dancing and yes I will be sending you video of dad dancing. The practice was pretty hilarious. Thursday is her senior walk down the halls of phs (seems like I just did this with you!) and then Saturday is the graduation. We are going to have lunch over here afterwards for family and a few friends. It should be a great day. Then that night, Erik and Chelsey are doing the gender reveal for their baby! Can't wait to find out!
Abby's senior pep rally is at 1 our time today. You usually get on about 2 my time. So If i'm not on right away, you'll know why. I'll get online as soon as I can. The pep rally shouldn't last longer than 1 hour.
The house is coming along. We were trying to get it on the market this weekend but I don't think that will happen. So much is going on this week because of graduation and it means less time getting stuff done at the house. I'm sure I've told you before, but it is worth saying again. This is such hard work and everything takes 4 times longer than you think it will. Friday was my last day of seminary for the year so that helps because that was a little stressful having to plan lessons everynight when I was at the flip house. We decided to pay someone to install the wood floors which will be the best money we've spent yet. They will be done quickly and right. Plus it takes a huge task off of our check list.
My sweet son. I just love you so much. I watched videos of you when you were little this week and your happiness and joy for life just lifted our family. You bring a special joy to all of us and I miss it when you are gone.
I wanted to share with you something I read and taught in seminary this week. We were studying Moroni 7 where he talks about charity. It is so interesting that he is in such a lonely and difficult situation and yet he finishes his writing by teaching about hope and faith and the pure love of Christ. We talked about how the "pure love of Christ" is a great phrase but the word "of" is not very descriptive. We talked about how Charity is the love FOR Christ (how we love him and follow his example), the love FROM Christ (his love for us as evidence by his words and actions), and to love LIKE Christ (our job is to love people like Christ does... to minister as he does). I just like thinking of Charity in this way. It helps me to understand it better and appreciate my Savior even more.
I can't wait to talk with you today. I love you infinity + infinity and even more than that!
