June 24, 2018 from Mom

Good morning my favorite missionary! 

First, before I forget, what picture do you want on your second year missionary journal? I’m getting a package ready to send next week so let me know if you need anything in particular. I’m going to send some dollar bills like you asked earlier. Although I’m pretty sure it’s illegal so I’ll have to hide them. I’m such a rebel;)

So now, tell me all about your week. I’m so interested to hear about Pamela. I’ve been praying for her this week. How about Gabriella and João? I’m hoping you have found a way to meet some new people too. Whatever your week has brought you, I hope you’re feeling some peace and joy that you’ve remained in Sardim. I know you are needed there.  

We had a low key week. We lowered the price of our investment house and we had a couple of showings but we still haven’t had a lot of interest. I think it’s just a slow time of year. Although I did list the Schmidt’s house and we had two offers the day that we listed it! I negotiated a contract for $5000 over asking price so that’s great!  It’s just in a different price range and it’s in also and prosper. But I feel very grateful that of the two houses I have one under contract because we’re getting ready to leave for Colorado on Friday. It’s always a little tough to be selling a house when I’m on vacation. But I’m hoping the tradition holds strong because every time I do go out of town I usually do sell a house. That means a lot of extra work while I’m trying to vacation but it would be a great thing to have this house under contract! We’re going to spend the weekend with grandpa Tom and grandma Gayle. Then Sunday we head to Utah. We’re going to have dinner with Sam‘s mission president which I’m really looking forward to. So next Monday I’ll be writing you from Utah❤️. 

Not a lot to report on this week. I’m just anxious to hear from you and hoping and praying that everything’s been going well. I sent you my spiritual thought in a separate email so take a look at that. 

 I miss you like crazy my sweet son! I love you infinity plus infinity and even more than that! I can’t wait to talk with you today. It’s my favorite thing each week!

its ok mom. just sad and confused. but i know the lord has a plan. just dont understand why it had to happen this way.  she is dating someone i think. he kinda looks like me lol except he has huge ears. your right. its just time to turn a corner. no matter how hard that is. im gonna write her a letter today just telling her how i feel and be done with it. im being transferred. I will go to Jardim Simos and be with an elder I dont know. I will be the senior companion which is really cool. Good morning my sweet boy! How was your week? I’m hoping there were some baptisms and the people followed through on their commitments:) Did you love conference? One of my favorite things about it was how I knew we were sitting there doing the exact same thing at the same time! That was comforting to me. I absolutely loved it! If you didn’t get a chance to watch the women’s broadcast you should try. I will send you an Ensign conference edition when it gets here so you can read all the talks again and study them. I feel like I received many personal messages from the talks. So many of them focused on our ability to stay faithful and receive comfort during trials... not one minute of our suffering is wasted. It is all for our good and our growth. That was one of the messages that I took away and feel strengthened by.  I also felt a recommitment to strengthening my conversion. Hey buddy!    I’m glad I finally get a chance to sit down and write. Baby stuff has taken over my life but we are very excited to have Harper with us in the next few weeks. Excited for you to meet your new little cousin when you return. Sounds like you are doing really well!
