alright well good news is Pamela is all good. Long story short, is i hate to say this but our bishop in this ward really will not to anything for us. so we called up another member in our ward who was a mission president a few years ago. right away he said he would visit them. It turned out alright. everything is kinda back to normal now. Pamela said she was repenting that whole nighht for saying those things haha. she still didnt go to church this week but she said it had nothing to do with that. she said the baby was up all night. but rafael and their oldest kid still walked to church! they are still arguing a lot as a couple and we are gonna start tonight being more serious with them and teaching a real lesson everytime we are there about humility, blaming others, etc.

So joão talked with his dad and told him he wanted to baptized. the dad talked with us and said he wasnt gonna allow it and didnt even wanna let him go to church anymore (ughhh). i have no idea why he wouldnt want joão to be going to church. just seems dumb to me. but that one has officially been marked off. gabriela has been really good! we remarked a baptismal date with her for the 8th i believe. its 2 weeks from yesterday. she still has doubts but she is progressing for sure. she went to a big party this weekend but told all her friends she wouldnt drink or do anything bad.

We did meet a couple of other great peole this week. but no one we were able to bring to church sunday. it was tough but im seeing a ton of progress in our work and in this new area. its going super well and im excited for this week! I feel needed here and im honestly not even bummed about staying here 4 transfers.

That is awesome about the schmidts house|! Over asking price too! how much do you expect to make from that one?? i will continue to pray about the listing that you guys flipped! truly the other house was a blessing from the lord. Sometimes its not exactly what we want but he continues to bless us according to his plan. I cant believe you guys already leave for colorado this week. holy moly mom its almost july!! can you believe it?? You guys will have so much fun and i want a ton ton of pics. and i wanna hear all about dinner with sams mission pres. I hope you are busy on the vacation!

I loved the quotes. i think its something that i have improved more than anything on the mission. I understand Gods plan so much better for each one of his children. And that trials and difficulties are exactly what we need every day of our lives to grow. i was reading in 2 nephi this week and found this scripture. literally one of my favorites now!!!
Nevertheless, Jacob, my first-born in the wilderness, thou knowest the greatness of God; and he shall consecrate thine aafflictions for thy gain.

God is literally CONSECRATING our afflictions for OUR GAIN! that is so crazy cool! He has put these hard times in our life with a purpose to help us and let us grow into better followers of HIm.

I love you mom!

oh yeah so the only other thing i can think of for my package is one or two of those braceletes that have water from everest and mud from the dead sea. I think that would be the perfect reminder for me on my mission. You can buy the off brand ones if you want. if they wont get here fast enough just send them in the next package if you wanna send this one this week.

love you so much!!!

its ok mom. just sad and confused. but i know the lord has a plan. just dont understand why it had to happen this way.  she is dating someone i think. he kinda looks like me lol except he has huge ears. your right. its just time to turn a corner. no matter how hard that is. im gonna write her a letter today just telling her how i feel and be done with it. im being transferred. I will go to Jardim Simos and be with an elder I dont know. I will be the senior companion which is really cool. Hes a brazilian, just finished his traning, and has about only 3 months on the mission. Im so glad and relieved. i was just ready to leave aguiar. he is just a difficult person sometimes.  love you mom.  yeah that sounds really difficult and probably something that would be really hard to do at the mission office haha. ok thank you for looking it up.  I love you so freaking much mom! You are my hero! Sorry that it has to be all annoying like this. I will defini...

Good morning my sweet boy! How was your week? I’m hoping there were some baptisms and the people followed through on their commitments:) Did you love conference? One of my favorite things about it was how I knew we were sitting there doing the exact same thing at the same time! That was comforting to me. I absolutely loved it! If you didn’t get a chance to watch the women’s broadcast you should try. I will send you an Ensign conference edition when it gets here so you can read all the talks again and study them. I feel like I received many personal messages from the talks. So many of them focused on our ability to stay faithful and receive comfort during trials... not one minute of our suffering is wasted. It is all for our good and our growth. That was one of the messages that I took away and feel strengthened by.  I also felt a recommitment to strengthening my conversion. That also seemed to be a theme of conference. Are we living the gospel by going through the motions and check...

Hey buddy!    I’m glad I finally get a chance to sit down and write. Baby stuff has taken over my life but we are very excited to have Harper with us in the next few weeks. Excited for you to meet your new little cousin when you return. Sounds like you are doing really well! I know you’ve had minor struggles and home sickness along the way, but it’s good to see you pumped and positive. Sounds like you’re doing a great job!     Hey listen, I know everyone has chimed in on the girl situation and you’re probably tired of talking about it at this point, but I wanted to try to talk to you about it as well because I’ve had the unwelcome pleasure of going through 3 life changing heart breaks that I never thought I’d recover from so I can speak to you from experience and hopefully put some perspective on things.     I had been with Alicia for 5 years, we were in love but it was more than that. It was how the family loved her, how much I loved her family and ...
