Hello love! Happy Monday. xoxox
How was your week Elder G? I can't wait to hear about it. Did you get some baptisms scheduled? Did the man's daughter come back in town?
This week was a blur it went so fast. I closed on the Schmidts house and then negotiated a contract on a new house I listed so It's been pretty crazy. I feel so happy to have the work! I'm really enjoying it. The other client is Laurie and Kellie's nephew who lives in Anna. I'm selling his house and then helping them buy a new house. So we listed their house on Thursday and got a contract on Saturday. So that house should close on 8/17 and then we close on their new house later the same day. The house I'm selling is super tiny so I won't make much on that one, but I'll make a good commission on the new one they are buying. Now if I could only sell the flip house!!!!
Ama, Brooke and I are busy planning a baby shower for Chelsey. She is getting pretty big now! She looks so happy. Erik sends us group texts everytime the baby moves:) LOL.
Your cousin Lindsey (Jenny's daughter who was at byu this last year) just opened her mission call today! She is going to Ecudor and leaves 10/31. She is so excited and I think she will be a great missionary!
The weather here has been insane! It was 110 today. It's been like that for over a week now. The a/c is working so hard I think its starting to go out. It will only cool the house to about 81 degrees now.
So your package should be in Brazil at the mission office now. When do you think you'll get it? I'm sending some new garment bottoms in another package that I'm getting ready. I picked them up at the temple on Saturday. I was able to do initiatories on Saturday. I LOVE doing those. Have you had the opportunity to do that again? We are promised such amazing things and I just love to be reminded of them. I've noticed that some of the younger women in our ward are a little hit and miss with wearing their garments. I think when it is hot like this, they think they don't need to wear them. It's kinda weird actually... but after doing initiatories, I was reminded why wearing our garments is so important and the things we are promised if we wear them faithfully. Go do initiatories again if you have the chance. If not, we'll definitely do them at home together.
I've been studying Joseph Smith history in preparation for seminary. I truly love to read his account of the first vision. You know he wrote 3 (i think) different accounts of the first vision and some people get bent out of shape because some of the details vary in the different writings. However, I've had the chance to study the three of them and I think they are all very powerful. I love the one in the D&C because it is more detailed (probably because it was written to be included in scripture.. one of the other versions was written for a newspaper that mostly non members would read so you can imagine he would be more general with the info than when he wrote it for members of the church). I love how he teaches us so much about how the Lord loves us and answers our prayers. I'm really getting excited to teach Doctrine & Cov.
That is about all I have for the week. I've also been putting together our family photo books because I'm behind. I'm working on 2017 and I love looking at our family vacay pictures and the pictures of you preparing to leave on your mission. 10 1/2 months, G! That is exciting!
I love you my son. You are my sunshine! Can't wait to chat!
