Hi my amazing son!
We are leaving beautiful McCall in the morning (Monday). I should be available to talk to you when you write but I have a flight at 1:55 which is 4:55 your time. Also the cell reception in the mountains isn't great while we are driving down to Boise. As long as you're on before that we will get to chat a little. But let Dad know when you are online today because he is looking forward to "chatting" with you. (He and Sam left early today - Sunday - because Sam had to work monday so Dad is now back home).
We had a great week. Last Monday we were in SLC and had a fun couple of days there. We had an AWESOME dinner with Sam's mission president and his wife. They are just amazing people and they love and admire Sam so much! It was great to hear about how much of an impact Sam had on the mission. I know it meant a lot to him to hear his President say those things. I just walked away on cloud nine. I could not be more proud of my two sons!
We celebrated the 4th of July by going to the Draper pool and jumping off the high dive:) Then we had Sydney and her husband Cam over to Noelle's house and we BBQed and went up by the temple to watch the fireworks. We could literally see about 100 fireworks shows going off all over the valley... it was really beautiful! The next morning (thursday) we headed up to McCall. It is a 7 hour drive! Most of it is pretty. I truly love it up here! It is so beautiful. We've had a lot of fun and great weather. We recreated the picture of all the kids from last time we were here. You were in it so we put your picture on the phone in the place where you were.
We did the typical cliff jumping (dad did a back flip off of the lower one) and renting jet skis. It took the entire mountain of people chanting Abby's name to get her to jump off of the 20 footer. We went to church here today and the ward was huge because of all the visitors. It doesn't get dark until about 10:00pm here so we played a late night game of volleyball tonight. Its hard to say good bye to a place so beautiful. I can walk outside right now and see all of the stars.
We also visited with the Adcocks and the Christiansens (see the picture to see if you recognize them from Flower Mound). These two guys just took their company public and made $70 million on the deal for themselves. They are both now retired at 50 years old and the Adcocks just remodeled the most incredible cabin with views of Lake Payette that you wouldn't believe. We had a great visit with them except for the fact that Sam had apparently made out with one of the twins before he knew he grew up with her and so that was a little awkward:) When you get home you can chat with the twins. They are beautiful and I think one of them is going to try for the accounting program.
We had so much fun with the Sewells, Shumways and Austins. But boy did we miss you! We talked about you so much and all the amazing things you are doing. It was a great week. Laurie and Kellie just said to tell you "hello" and that they love you!
Sam got his application in for Finance so we are waiting to find out if he gets in. Say a little prayer for him. The only real problem for him is his overall gpa. Everything else is strong.
No sale on the house yet. We had a few more showings this week but there is always one thing that doesn't work for them even though they love the rest of the house. UGH! I'm just going to keep praying and try to do some more marketing when I get home.
Tell me about your week Elder G. I can't wait to hear all about it. I hope you are feeling the love of your family. We talked about you so much this week and I hope you were able to feel our arms around you! I love you so much my son! I am really really hoping we get to talk today!
Infinity plus infinity.
