OIiii momma. Well it was a good and bad week at the same time. We found lots of new people but sadly none of them came through when they needed to most. it was sad. we literally had zero investigators in church. one of the few few times on my mission. but its all good. just gotta look up. analici and celio are going downhill a little bit. analici wants to be baptized but i think celio is kinda dragging her down with him. its sad but we will see what happens this week. we will go there with a really good return missionary in our ward. also our other baptism that we have had for a while was alline. she was supposed to be baptized this week but she kinda just completely disappeared from us this week. its sad and we really have no idea why. based on what she said to us last week she seemed super firm and ready to be baptized so idk if something happened but that kinda sucked cause she seemed like a for sure almost. but it will be all good. our zone is kinda down in the dumps in reference to numbers right now. NOt really anyone is baptizing so we are trying to keep everyone excited. We met lots of cool people this week tho that im excited to see if they progress. we even got a reference from someone who was contacted by the missionaries in the mtc when they go out in sao paulo and do contacts in the busy streets. She is like a 15 year old girl and she is super awesome and really is wanting to see a change in her life.
Well i guess you were right about sally that i shouldnt get too excited cause she didnt even email me back this week or send the pics from jerusalem that she said she would send. lol
but at this point im kinda just turned off with her. im just like whatever. whatever happens, happens.
thats funny about sam. goodness he sure does have an expensive hobby that i think no one in the family understands lol. but im happy that he got to do that. i hope things start to go well for him with this school year in economics.
Thats crazy about abby leaving for school so fast! Why are you guys driving through denver?? Should be a long but fun trip with her before she is off at college.
also pretty crazy about the ward split. i cannot believe that prosper is growing so much. our ward is starting to look like a utah ward so small in its boundaries. but thats pretty sweet that we have the stantons and the cordys in our ward. thats super fun. im honestly excited! and im excited to come home to bishop schofield. he is such a good guy.
thats sad about the vandergriff kid. i dont really remember him too much but i remember the family. idk its a hard time that me and sam both had to pass through. luckily for me it wasnt quite a year i dont think. but i feel like during that time was when i grew the most. i hope he can see the same things and realize that true happiness really comes through obedience. i dont remember which one is kirsten memory? is she the older one? can you send a picture of her or of them together? I hope hes got plans to keep him busy and to stay studying the gospel during this year.
I liked your thought. i feel like there was a time in my life that i chose to do the right because of fear. this is only half of the process though. we need to gain the faith to do the right thing because we want to. i remember something that one of my BoM professors said. He said that if you dont watch porn cause the church says its bad, thats great. but if you dont watch porn because you know it does bad for your mind, causes addictions, and doesnt help the plans of God for us to be married man and wife, that is even better. you really have the faith and understand the process and the "why?" idk i kinda compare it with that.
yeah this week should be dope im excited to pass 1 year! its so crazy its hitting me now. its crazy to think how fast this part will go by on my mission. Im gonna burn a shirt on a roof of a recent converts house and try to redo the scene from saratovs approach. hahah should be dope. its a shirt that ive never really used cause it has stains and is big and is missing buttons so dont worry haha. but other than that ill probably just buy me something nice idk. haha nigga we already on the COUNT DOWN! I already am like 99% sure that ill be home in the beginning of august on like the 5th or 6th. Because the transfers work out the same for every american and it ends up being 1 month less for all americans. so really im hitting 11 months left in the next few days! isnt that crazy!? pretty soon we will be counting down from 10!! I wont need to have to ask to come home early cause i already will automatically. so ill have like less than a month at home before heading off to school.
also isaac told me he will apply for byu provo!!! that is so sick and im pumped and i hope he gets in.
so we are in a lan house in the middle of the favela right now hahah its so funny and im on one of those computers from the 90s that is a huge box. lol i couldnt help but laugh when we got here. but we will change really quick to another lan house in like 30 minutes. but send your email in response like normal and ill get back to you.
