So yes!! We baptized Lucia! hahah she is so sweet and so old so its funny. I think shes a good 20 years older than you. Its awesome to know you made a change in the life of someone who already has been through it all. Oh my goodness it was a little nerveracking at the baptism because Rodrigues baptized her and hes kinda a little guy. And its always super hard to baptize old people anyway. And she is overweight and the first time, her whole body didnt go under the water and she like took in some water. So they left, took like a 3 minute break and had to do it again hahah. But it worked out in the end. Welll....Lucianno and Alessandra are progressing but im not sure if they are as firm as we thought. Its super weird cause we have talked about baptism a lot with them but Alessandra said something a little weird this week. It was kinda annoying its just a long story. But we will calm her down and help them prepare more this week. Last week we even did FHE with them and Bishop and his wife. But i think it will work out and also that same day we maybe will baptize 2 of their neighbors. They have 12 and 9 years and they are loving the church and learning a ton. WE talked with their parents and said they would let them be baptized, but they want them to learn more and the usual......but i think the parents really trust LUcianno and ALessandra so if they are getting baptized on the 20th, the parents will let their kids be baptized the same day too.
For this week we have tonnsssssss of options lol. They are almost all kids, which saying the truth, i really dont like. Long story but in brazil and especailly in this ward there have passed lots of missionaries who just pretty much threw a bunch of kids in the baptismal waters. But these kids are actually really good and their parents are in support of them. There are 4 of them who are brothers and cousins. Then there is one more who is the daughter of a less active also and then we also have this forever investigator who said he is wanting to be baptized maybe now. So seriously we have tons of options its kinda crazy. I really dont know who will work out and who wont, but im hoping to return next week with more baptisms.
Im sorry mom, but all i can say is youve raised some bad a** kids who are all doing great things right now and will be really successful in life hahahha. I hope you feel good knowing youve done a dang good job with that. I remember weekly of things that you used to say to me that were always so wise. Whether I followed your counsels or not, i know they all helped me as a teen.
HOLY MOLY! i cannot believe we have 87 ym and yw. That is literally crazy. In our ward sometimes we have 87 people show up in whole. hahah That is awesomeee!!!! Im so happy the church is strong there. There is nothing i want more in this world for this church to have success and bring blessings to the lives of so many.
How many people do you think go every sunday?
Ask the missionaries next time how there work is going in prosper and if they have any baptisms coming up or if they have baptized recently!!!
Wow mom that is awesome about that missionary. Im so glad you were able to comfort him a little. You are the best momma. Did you tell them about my situation? Is that how he knew and prayed for me? What a special experience!
Im sooooo excited to see the changes!! its gonna be awesome! did you also see that isaac is predicting a temple in mozambique? how awesome would that be!! Opening up other kinds of missions would be really interesting! What kind of service would they do? like working in the offices of the church or what??
