Hello my love!!!  I have a brief letter for you today because I am asking that you spend some extra time writing Abby today.  So she and Jackson broke up this week.  After she left CA last sunday, it was really sad and she had a feeling he was pulling away from her a little.  In addition, his dad had made a comment when she was out there that upset her.  I guess the first night, they had the missionaries over for dinner and Jackson's dad asked them "do you have any advice for Jackson, other than he should break off all ties with everyone here?"  So she new he was putting pressure on Jackson to break up with Abby so he could focus on his mission.  Anyway, after she left things totally changed and he said they shouldn't talk for a week.  Then this weekend they talked and Abby had a chance to put her thoughts together and say everything she wanted to say to him.  But he was pretty set that he needs to focus on his mission and they need to break up and not talk.  He was sweet to her and told her that he still loved her and appreciated everything she had done for him, but he's kinda checked out.  I think he has a lot of pressure from his dad and I think he is afraid of getting hurt while he is out there and doesn't want to deal with that.  In the meantime, he also got his mission call to SLC West and leaves 12/4. He was DEVASTAED!  Did not see SLC coming so that has added to his freak out.  I don't think he understands how much Abby would have supported him and helped him on his mission.... but no sense worrying about it now.  Anyway, Abby has been heart broken this week!  She is really struggling and was even crying because she wished she could talk to you because you know what she is going through.  I think their story may not be over.  We'll see what happens once he is out.  He may realize having support from someone from home would mean so much to him.  But for now she feels like the rug was pulled out from under her.  He was so crazy about her so it doesn't really make sense.  I know you know how she feels baby boy!

Would you take some time today and write her a good letter and give her some comfort, hope, advice, etc.  Whatever you think.  My heart is breaking for her right now too.  It is pretty much all Ive dealt with all week. I will be going out there Friday (utah) so I'll be with her over the weekend and I'm really happy I'll have the chance to put my arms around her.  That was one of the most difficult things when you were hurting so much over Sally... I couldn't just hold you and give you comfort.  So maybe your words will help her.

Everything else is good at home.  We celebrated Ama's bday this week and had a fun family dinner last night.  She is such an amazing mom and grandma!  We are so lucky to have her!

I love you so much G!  You are still such a force in our family even though you are so far away.  We love you and miss you soooooo much!  I rewatched the video you sent with Rafael's kids saying "hoy Gurks!" about 10 times and showed it to everyone last night. You are an amazing son and man.  I love you more than you could ever know!

Good morning my sweet boy! How was your week? I’m hoping there were some baptisms and the people followed through on their commitments:) Did you love conference? One of my favorite things about it was how I knew we were sitting there doing the exact same thing at the same time! That was comforting to me. I absolutely loved it! If you didn’t get a chance to watch the women’s broadcast you should try. I will send you an Ensign conference edition when it gets here so you can read all the talks again and study them. I feel like I received many personal messages from the talks. So many of them focused on our ability to stay faithful and receive comfort during trials... not one minute of our suffering is wasted. It is all for our good and our growth. That was one of the messages that I took away and feel strengthened by.  I also felt a recommitment to strengthening my conversion. That also seemed to be a theme of conference. Are we living the gospel by going through the motions and check...

Hey buddy!    I’m glad I finally get a chance to sit down and write. Baby stuff has taken over my life but we are very excited to have Harper with us in the next few weeks. Excited for you to meet your new little cousin when you return. Sounds like you are doing really well! I know you’ve had minor struggles and home sickness along the way, but it’s good to see you pumped and positive. Sounds like you’re doing a great job!     Hey listen, I know everyone has chimed in on the girl situation and you’re probably tired of talking about it at this point, but I wanted to try to talk to you about it as well because I’ve had the unwelcome pleasure of going through 3 life changing heart breaks that I never thought I’d recover from so I can speak to you from experience and hopefully put some perspective on things.     I had been with Alicia for 5 years, we were in love but it was more than that. It was how the family loved her, how much I loved her family and ...
