Oi Oi momma! How are you? Im doing pretty great! It was a good, normal week. We didnt have any one in mind to baptize this week so we have been working with lots of different people. We have lots of options, we will just have to see who will progress and really grab hold of this message. We reactivate a little bit, but its super tough to do in this ward. I dont even think you wanna know this statistic, but our ward has 700 members on the ward list and every sunday there are about 85 people at church. Its pretty sad. This area has just been destroyed by missionaries who just threw people in the water. So reactivating is super tough. If we find someone whos a member who isnt active, certainly we will work with them if they are willing. We had a guy who was returning to the church after 20 years and we were teaching him to get the melchezidek priesthood and enter through the temple, but he is still kinda hit and miss at church on sunday. and he said the family situation at home is rough so he didnt even give us his address so we always taught him at the church. If you wanna know how bad it is, 123 (!!!!!!) people were baptized in this ward in the past 2 years before I got here. How many are active???.....11. Its pretty bad. So i dont wanna go down with that same reputation lol.
Thats awesome that you are in utah with the fam and some friends! Im so happy that you guys got to get together. Looks like you had a ton of fun. I hope abby uses that as motivation to get into UVU or even BYU. UVU with in state tuition probably is still a little expensive right??
You should have a great week in Utah and a great weekend in Cali! My mans G is all home alone!!!!
Im so happy you have a team teacher! that really is a game changer! is this year your last year as a teacher??
I love that verse! Its a good one for sure. I think a lot about virtue in my thoughts. I can have clean actions as a missionary, but the harder part is clean thoughts. (especially when you havent touched a girl in 13 months lol. So its something I have worked on constantly on my mission. Thats what scares me so much about abby or my future daughter. Cause im a guy and i know the kind of thoughts that can run through a guys head (even gross old dudes). Thats why modesty is so important. But i know when are thoughts are clean and for me really focused on our work, I will have tons of success and will be so much happier on the mission. This has a lot to do with a man of virtue and a man of moral strength as well. So i loved the thought. Thank you!
So this past week we had a zone conference and it was a killer!! i think the best training i have given. We talked about working together as a zone. The APs loved it a ton! it was pretty awesome! We have a mission leadership meeting this week on the 31st! Im pretty excited for it.
I love you momma so much! Im so excited we will get that one day! Ive thought more and more about living in utah when im older. I think its such a great place! Im so excited to be back there! Our family is gonna have so many great times in the future!
Ok please be super safe responding to me. At least for this first response i would ask that you pull over really quick and respond a little more controlled!!
Love you momma!
