Good morning my sweet boy! How was your week? I’m hoping there were some baptisms and the people followed through on their commitments:) Did you love conference? One of my favorite things about it was how I knew we were sitting there doing the exact same thing at the same time! That was comforting to me. I absolutely loved it! If you didn’t get a chance to watch the women’s broadcast you should try. I will send you an Ensign conference edition when it gets here so you can read all the talks again and study them. I feel like I received many personal messages from the talks. So many of them focused on our ability to stay faithful and receive comfort during trials... not one minute of our suffering is wasted. It is all for our good and our growth. That was one of the messages that I took away and feel strengthened by.

I also felt a recommitment to strengthening my conversion. That also seemed to be a theme of conference. Are we living the gospel by going through the motions and checking off boxes? Or are we becoming something different because of our relationship with Christ.? I know you are becoming something different and are a great example to me! I’m going to try and do better as well.

I am excited about the new home focused/gospel supported curriculum. It has caused me to reflect a lot on what I could have done better with you guys. But in spite of my shortcomings you have all turned out so amazing! I feel incredibly blessed! You will have to do better than Dad and I did. You really have to remain so faithful when you return from your mission and just as committed. It will be different of course because you will have many other responsibilities and distractions. Just think about the kind of man you want to be when you return and make sure you continually do a self-assessment to make sure you’re on the right path. I also felt an encouragement that my job in raising my kids isn’t done. I know I still go to my parents for advice and counsel. I hope you guys will always feel you can trust Dad and I to help you through your life.

We had a pretty quiet week. We went with the 0pfars and the Lelands on Friday night which was really fun! The rest of the weekend was all conference. We had breakfast Sunday morning at amas and all watched together.

Did you hear about the temple is Parkers mission?! That is so exciting!! Also, it was his birthday yesterday. You guys are turning 21! That’s crazy!

I love you G! More than you know. You are my pride and my joy! I pray for you throughout the day. Everyday. I loved seeing the pictures and videos of you in the mission page. You look so great! Tell me who your best friends on the mission are.  I’m preparing your Christmas package. Is there anything special you need or want? šŸ˜šŸŽ„

Any word on your other package?

I love you infinity plus infinity and even more than that!!! Can’t wait to hear about your week and what your thoughts were on conference ❤️.
Love
Momma

Hey buddy!    I’m glad I finally get a chance to sit down and write. Baby stuff has taken over my life but we are very excited to have Harper with us in the next few weeks. Excited for you to meet your new little cousin when you return. Sounds like you are doing really well! I know you’ve had minor struggles and home sickness along the way, but it’s good to see you pumped and positive. Sounds like you’re doing a great job!     Hey listen, I know everyone has chimed in on the girl situation and you’re probably tired of talking about it at this point, but I wanted to try to talk to you about it as well because I’ve had the unwelcome pleasure of going through 3 life changing heart breaks that I never thought I’d recover from so I can speak to you from experience and hopefully put some perspective on things.     I had been with Alicia for 5 years, we were in love but it was more than that. It was how the family loved her, how much I loved her family and ...
