Hi love!!!

Happy pday! Can't wait to hear about your week:)  Are you feeling like you're getting enough time to go out and teach? How did your first week as solo Financial Secretary go?  I'm sure the mission is in good financial hands with you running things.  Kinda crazy to think you're in charge of all the financial operations now! How do you like the calling?

Well the highlight of this week was Parker coming home:) It brought tears to my eyes for many reasons.  I'm so proud of Parker.  AND it made me think of our reunion that isn't too far off.  He looks great and is so happy.  I love seeing people come home from their mission and feel the joy they have.  I think it was a little hard for Parker when he went to get released and had to take off his name tag.  The thing Andrea told me is that he said, "When I was first out on my mission I remember looking at my name tag and thinking it was going to be such a long time in brazil but I heard a voice in my head say, 'Treasure this time that you can wear His name. It will go quickly.'" I'm actually grateful you have 5 months left.  Think about how you want to work and spend this time.  Think of how you can best serve the Lord these next 5 months.  How can you leave it all on the field so you can come home and know you have given your all? THink of how you want to carry all you have learned into the rest of your life?

So Dad and I joined Andrea, Maris, Liza and Kellie Mott at the airport to get him.  We were waiting at the baggage claim doors for EVER and then all of a sudden Parker is walking down the baggage claim area from the side.  He came through a different door! lol. But luckily we saw him and we all got to hug him. After he got released, the Cordy's joined us and the Opfars and we went to Torchys for lunch.  We got to hear lots of stories about Parker's mission.  He will be speaking this coming Sunday so we will go hear him then.

We had a great Fast & Testimony meeting this week.  It was one of those weeks where so many people went up... there were no quiet spots and we even went over a little.  We had a new convert baptized.  He is a young guy, still in high school, that has really gone through a lot to join the church.  Lots of family and friend opposition.  He bore his testimony too and talked about how the sacrifice is worth the blessings he has received.  Awesome!

Someone also shared a quote from Marion G. Romney who was a counselor under President Kimball.  He said, "A person cannot give a crust of bread to the Lord without receiving a loaf in return." It is one of the quotes I put in the letter to Rafael and Pamela.  I hope the understand how it applies to them.

I love you my amazing son!  I pray for you many times each day.  You are inspiring to me and I hope you know how proud we are as your parents.  So often I feel overwhelmed by the blessing of my children.  I feel so loved by Heavenly Father that he gave me such valiant spirits to care for.

Have an incredible week!  I love you infinity plus infinity and even more than that!

Good morning my sweet boy! How was your week? I’m hoping there were some baptisms and the people followed through on their commitments:) Did you love conference? One of my favorite things about it was how I knew we were sitting there doing the exact same thing at the same time! That was comforting to me. I absolutely loved it! If you didn’t get a chance to watch the women’s broadcast you should try. I will send you an Ensign conference edition when it gets here so you can read all the talks again and study them. I feel like I received many personal messages from the talks. So many of them focused on our ability to stay faithful and receive comfort during trials... not one minute of our suffering is wasted. It is all for our good and our growth. That was one of the messages that I took away and feel strengthened by.  I also felt a recommitment to strengthening my conversion. That also seemed to be a theme of conference. Are we living the gospel by going through the motions and check...

Hey buddy!    I’m glad I finally get a chance to sit down and write. Baby stuff has taken over my life but we are very excited to have Harper with us in the next few weeks. Excited for you to meet your new little cousin when you return. Sounds like you are doing really well! I know you’ve had minor struggles and home sickness along the way, but it’s good to see you pumped and positive. Sounds like you’re doing a great job!     Hey listen, I know everyone has chimed in on the girl situation and you’re probably tired of talking about it at this point, but I wanted to try to talk to you about it as well because I’ve had the unwelcome pleasure of going through 3 life changing heart breaks that I never thought I’d recover from so I can speak to you from experience and hopefully put some perspective on things.     I had been with Alicia for 5 years, we were in love but it was more than that. It was how the family loved her, how much I loved her family and ...
