hahah oh my gosh....yall are way too worried. I think his call is awesome! Colombia looks beautiful, he will be able to baptize a lot, and be able to learn spanish! hahah because africa is chill, it just has a bad connotation from americans.

My area is pretty chill. We dont work in the favela right now as compared to a couple other areas where i worked in the favela. So i feel pretty chill. There is favela in this area, but its pretty far from the chapel so we dont usually work there. This week we almost got locked in the bishops house because of a flood that was surrounding a couple areas of his house. We had to drive through the favela to get away from the flood. Even my comp was worried, but i was like dawgggg chill. It was totally fine. Missionaries are very rarely messed with if you are doing good things. The worst that could happen is someone robs you. BUt even when they rob you, they arent looking to hurt you, they just want your money and then to leave.

I doubt the beach thing will happen sadly. I just think its a lot of responsibility for him to take missionaries out of the boundaries of the mission. But its all good, im just gonna come back to Brazil and ill be able to go to much doper beaches than we would go to here in sao paulo. Transfers were good. Its good to see a couple of my friends get called as Zone leaders and stuff. Im pretty close with this straight up country boy from a tiny town in georgia. He has like 8 months on the mission and was called this week to be a ZL. so that was pretty sweet. Also, a cute Utah girl was transferred to serve in the same ward as me(;

Yes the two small charges were me, but the click bus shouldnt have been charged cause the site didnt accept my payment. Ill probably have to use my personal card more in these last months cause im gonna try to eat even more to gain weight and ill have to use personal money.

Me and my comp are good. He can be a tad annoying sometimes, but luckily thats something ive learned to have patience with on the mission. BUt overall hes a good comp and we are having good success together. LOL oh my goodness this is so embarassing but this week he literally told me he pooped himself. I was like "wait, what?" it didnt even register in my mind. So the whole night i was just grossed out. it was super super weird. Our investigators are great! we are teaching sooo many great people. We have like 3 couples in our teaching group who have all already been to church. This sunday we have planned to go to the visitors center next to the temple with paula and her husband cristiano. If everything goes right i think we will go to the resgistry to mark a marriage date on monday. We FINALLY have a baptism this week! Its this girl Paula. SHe is a really cool story. We walked up to her door and saw her brother on the porch. We started talking to him and he pretty much told us that they were all from some weird religion called "umbanda" and they didnt want anything. But then we see her inside the house stand up and come outside and she said "im christian, you can talk to me." So we were able to teach her and she was super interested about like the plan of salvation and what happens after death and stuff. It was pretty sweet. She seems like a really awesome, pure girl who really wants to do what God has intended for her in her life. Im way excited to be able to baptize again. WE GONNA CATCH FIRE OUT HERE!

Im still a little sad about sam. I hope he is learning things as he makes mistakes at least. But im glad you are there to be able to help him. Ill be praying for a quick recovery and that he will be able to do well on his finals.

IM SO HAPPY ABOUT THE HOUSE. IM hoping you guys can wipe this one off your plate and just move on. I know it wasnt exactly how you guys wanted it to turn out but i know the Lord has done this with many purposes. I hope that you guys end up making a little bit of money at least, but just getting your money back will be nice as well at this point.

Dont worry about your letters momma. Just focus on you for this next week so you can get back up and running like normal. Im just chilling out here so im all ok. im happy and working hard and im really tiring out, but thats a good thing cause im learning a lot as well. Ive made goals my whole mission and i feel like ive been able to accomplish so much. Ive gained a lot of patience, ive learned so much about my savior, ive learned how to serve others. But there are also things i want to do better so im glad ive got these months to still do that. I wanna be more humble. I wanna be more loving. I wanna learn spanish. I wanna finish jesus the christ. So there is still lots to do. lol

Thank you for so much support momma. I love you so much!
Tell noelle i wanna talk with spencer one of these pdays if he is out of school or something. I guess summer starts soon.

Love,
Elder G

Hes a brazilian, just finished his traning, and has about only 3 months on the mission. Good morning my sweet boy! How was your week? I’m hoping there were some baptisms and the people followed through on their commitments:) Did you love conference? One of my favorite things about it was how I knew we were sitting there doing the exact same thing at the same time! That was comforting to me. I absolutely loved it! If you didn’t get a chance to watch the women’s broadcast you should try. I will send you an Ensign conference edition when it gets here so you can read all the talks again and study them. I feel like I received many personal messages from the talks. So many of them focused on our ability to stay faithful and receive comfort during trials... not one minute of our suffering is wasted. It is all for our good and our growth. That was one of the messages that I took away and feel strengthened by.  I also felt a recommitment to strengthening my conversion. That also seemed to be a theme of conference. Are we living the gospel by going through the motions and check...

Hey buddy!    I’m glad I finally get a chance to sit down and write. Baby stuff has taken over my life but we are very excited to have Harper with us in the next few weeks. Excited for you to meet your new little cousin when you return. Sounds like you are doing really well! I know you’ve had minor struggles and home sickness along the way, but it’s good to see you pumped and positive. Sounds like you’re doing a great job!     Hey listen, I know everyone has chimed in on the girl situation and you’re probably tired of talking about it at this point, but I wanted to try to talk to you about it as well because I’ve had the unwelcome pleasure of going through 3 life changing heart breaks that I never thought I’d recover from so I can speak to you from experience and hopefully put some perspective on things.     I had been with Alicia for 5 years, we were in love but it was more than that. It was how the family loved her, how much I loved her family and ...
