HAHAH suckers they are leaving just now! lol jk. Its true for me in a lot of ways it feels like it was yesterday, but also in some ways it feels like forever. But i am glad that in 2 weeks ill be able to see you guys. It certainly has been 2 years and its been packed full of experiences for me and im glad to be going home a different person.
dang thats pretty crazy...70 people!! I wish i could have been there! I talked with spence today. I talked so much hahaha. There is just so much to tell him. It was even a little hard for me at the end. Idk its just so crazy to be on the other side now. But it was good to be able to tell him about everything that he will go into and all the wonderful experiences. It makes me sad thinking that I wont have those experiences anymore. But more than anything I just have so much respect for each and every missionary who makes the unselfish decision to leave his home and go preach the gospel because of his love of the Lord. Im so grateful that these people continue to exist to keep the work of the Lord going in the midst of a dark world. Im so grateful for this work cause it really changed my life. It made me a different person and I grew to have a lot for it. I want so bad that ALL people can feel the blessings of the gospel in their lives. I heard his farewell talk! it was really good! I loved it. I told him the truth that at the beginning it really will be tough, but eventually he will never want to leave and he will absolutely love it. he will be grateful for the hard times cause its what helped him grow in the end.
Im glad that Dani is doing well. Its good cause i think this fame will help her look away from the sad things and focus on the impact she is making in others lives. That is surprising that she has been on dates, but maybe its also something just to distract her a little and to have fun.
thank you for the spiritual thought. Ive seen that a lot on the mission. Really, the Lord is always knocking at the door. But only when we open the door and let him in that He will start to have a big impact on our lives. As missionaries sometimes, the timing just isnt right for people, they arent ready to really make a change in their lives. But some time could pass and it changes everything. Something could happen that makes them want to be different and then they accept the gospel and let the Lord in.
The week was good! We are still working a lot with a mom and daughter (Claudia and Manoela). Manoela went to church for the first time this past week and loved it! She said it was totally different than what she expected and im gonna challenge them to be baptized on my last sunday as well. We have taught the fiance of a member in our ward as well. His name is Vitor and he is super dope. Hes an awesome guy and we are building a great friendship with him. I believe he will also be baptized and they would totally be sealed! Idk if it will happen while im here but certainly soon after. And Luis is still firm and im SO excited for his baptism.
I love you momma! Thanks for all your help and love. I miss you so much and cant wait to give you a big big hug in 14 days(:
Elder G (very soon, Grayson)
